Yoga is something the whole family can do, no matter what age! Kids yoga teaches body awareness, mindfulness, and practicing the importance of being present to the moment. It helps with flexibility, coordination, and endurance. Kids yoga also reduces anxiety and builds positive self-esteem. It helps children identify their own will and inner strength and find balance within their mind and body.

Preschool Storytime Yoga: 3-5 years
Your preschool-aged kiddos are invited to join Miss Emmi for Preschool Storytime Yoga. We’ll use picture books, yoga poses, breathing, mindful movement, music, and coloring to build self-awareness, emotional regulation, body awareness, concentration, and more. And we’ll have fun!

Social-Emotional Yoga for Elementary Age Youth: K-5th grade
Social Emotional Yoga with Mrs. V is a curriculum-based program utilizing the practice of yoga (asana) along with CASEL Social Emotional Framework and Breathe for Change to provide social-emotional learning yoga to youth. Each class will be based on a social-emotional theme while doing yoga, meditation, games, dancing, music, and more. Typically, a theme-based craft will be completed at each session. Youth will develop skills to help with self-management, relationship/community building, and mind-body connection.

Kids Yoga: age 2 1/2-5ish (summer only)
It’s time to have FUN doing yoga. This class is perfect for toddlers to work on their gross and fine motor skills while learning yoga poses, breathing techniques, and calming methods, along with other mindfulness skills. Each class will include yoga, meditation, storytime, dancing, music, and games.
