Full Circle Yoga in Overland Park was founded in 2017 by yoga teacher Jenny Hellman focusing on wellness in the early stages of family life from prenatal to early parenthood and the older adult years. She is a mother of two amazing children, who have blessed her with lessons of unconditional love, patience, humility, savor the moments, and created a deeper connection with and empathy for other mothers. When she was pregnant with her first child, she struggled to find a class specific to prenatal yoga, one that provided a good balance of personal fitness and mindfulness. She became certified in prenatal yoga when she was seven months pregnant with her second child because she envisioned offering a different kind of prenatal yoga to mothers. Jenny holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work. She is a 200-hour RYT with Yoga Alliance and has earned specialized teaching certificates in Prenatal Yoga and Bring Your Own Baby (BYOB) through Blooma.
For the past 20 years Jenny has worked with older adults in a range of healthcare settings. Jenny graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Kansas in 1998 and her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania in 2002. Jenny has worked with older adults in hospital settings, a progressive outpatient practice and in multiple nursing home settings, including assisted living and skilled nursing facilities. For the last twelve years, Jenny has been focusing on changing the culture of long term care facilities to be person centered and empowering places to live. Now Jenny brings this extensive healthcare experience supporting families to support you in your wellness journey through the full circle of changing life stages.
